Marty W. French, CPA, CGMA
Marty joined DeWitt French Giger & Sitton in 2000. He was named a Partner in 2008, and is the supervisor over the business tax department. His responsibilities include assigning returns, reviewing staff work, managing the overall workflow within the firm, administrating electronic filing of returns, and handling the firm’s internal accounting. Marty adds expertise in the areas of corporate and partnership taxation, specializing in retail, manufacturing, and construction. He also specializes in compilation and reviews of small businesses, particularly in the construction industry. Marty earned his Bachelor of Science, graduating with honors (Summa Cum Laude), and his Master’s of Professional Accountancy from Louisiana Tech University. He is a member of several professional organizations, including the AICPA and the Society of Louisiana CPAs, where he is a current member of the Business Consulting Committee and the Career Awareness Committee. He also currently serves on the Education Committee for the NELA United Way and previously served on the Young CPA Board of the Society of Louisiana CPAs and the Monroe Salvation Army Advisory Board. Outside the office, Marty loves spending time and playing with his two young children. He also enjoys singing, playing the guitar, golfing, and training for 5K and triathlon events.
